Making a Promotional Video

I have a few ideas for a short promotional video on Viteous Degeneration/Floaters.

Would anyone be interested in saying a few words on how they feel, how it has affected them etc over Skype? I want to use these audio clips in the final video.

Collargen cells or blood cells post FOV ??

I had surgery November 4th and I know its early but I'm very worried about what I'm seeing. From what I've read my eye does not seem to have the typical "blood inflamation cells" that have been described by others.

I am worried that what I'm seeing are collargen cells and I'm really really wondering if I made a huge mistake in trying to get those residual floaters by having yet another FOV.

First off my vision is EXTREMELY blurred which is...

Hey everyone.

Well I wish I could say my third FOV went as smooth as my last two but so far it has not. Apparently as the infusion was being taken out it opened up some blood in my eye. My eye is now loaded with blood floaters which far outnumber the floaters I had before going in. My eye sight is very, very blurry right now.

Dr Mackool did however say that these blood floaters will eventually dissolve. I just got home a couple hours ago so I'm hoping slowly but...

Hi,

The "explosive" condition to see almost all of my floaters is,without doubt, a very white wall with natural bright light on it.

And a foogy,grey (with some sunlight) day is worst then a sunny,clear day,because my floaters when the sunlight is direct and strong tend to became very transparent to the point i don't notice them. Anyone have the same? and the worst conditions to you guys to see them?

Now that would be awesome to have here , for reasons you might guess
A photo of floaters inside vitreous humour of varying severity from a vitreous or a autopsy.

ofcource floaters viewed from the pupil can be seen on youtube in videos dr Johnson uploaded among others.

but It would be pretty good for our efforts to explain the meaningfulness of the problem if we had something that would match what you have in the eye with the shapes you see.

Well It would be good if you would post resources about myopia from the web and what we can do and should know about it.

What we do know that there is a strong but not exclusive link between floaters and myopia.

My recent researches about origin of the vitreous floaters made me thinking about next:

Is there any regenerations of the vitreous body structure proceed inside the eyes in a human's lifetime? I suppose that forming of the vitreous body inside the human's eye is proceed at least until a person become an adult, because it is perfectly obvious, that eye of a child and eye of an adult person has different capacity. Thus, I tend to think there are regenerations in the vitreous...

I have DVS (Degenerative Vitreous Syndrome - the floaters) in my both eyes, since I was 25 (now I'm 29). And I have to admit, that in my case it is quite rapidly progressioning. I see new floaters appearing at least once a month or two. The spots are so huge, so everytime when they're coming close to the front of my retina I have to shake my head for they'd fly away, because they block all of the region of my vision. At least it seems so.

photosphene after strong yawning

Well while it generally isn't retina-only but since yawning changes the blood flow to the face/head and I ahve noticed some weak photosphene(flasher) come at random if I yawn hard enough all the time ...
so the question , could stuff like that put some forces inside the eye that could be related to a higher chance of floater formation (VH fibril clumping / bleeding?)

Has anyone looked recently at the description of the word "floaters" in Wikipedia? Is it just me or is the description and the analysis becoming more and more skewed towards certain treatment options, namely laser vitreolysis?

Now, don't get me wrong, the text itself is informative but the narrative seems to have more than a passing ressemblance to the website of certain doctors. Given that there are clearly differents schools of thought on the appropriate treatment...
