Just wondering if anyone could share their story about their post lasik floaters and how they progressed. Did anyone get over them, stop seeing them, get worse, say the same? How many or how bothersome are the floaters? I have been struggling with these things for 6 months.

My retinal specilist told me that it couldnt have been the LASIK bcos LAZIK only treats the surface of the eye and that i was just noticing my floaters more post-LASIK because of my improved eyesight, could this be true?

Is Lasik/lasek a high risk procedure?

how many people out there are there who've really had *bad* effects or complications from their lasik surgery? thanks to two sites I've came across I cancelled my 2 year dream to get rid of my glasses (I had an appointment 22th Dec 07 to do Lasek). Lasikdisaster.com and thelasikflap.com forum has now scared me off. Is it really this bad? How many people are there in here who have suffered from a complication after lasik/lasek? From what I have read LASIK is not a good idea. But what about PRK for eye correction? Does it do any "damage"? Anyone have any ideas?

I had lasik about 3 weeks ago and I have had no problems. It was the best thing I could have done! It really is a big risk and you have to make sure you are a candidate for it. Most people who have problems probably went to an inexperienced surgeon. There is a post on here that tells you not to do it because it is not worth it because you get floaters and dry eyes and other symptoms. i have had very small discomfort with dry eyes and have less floaters than before i did the surgery, so I...

I am planning to have a Vitrectomy to correct floaters in my right eye at some point in the future by Dr. Hanscom or someone like him. I also want to have LASIK surgery to correct my farsightedness. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of having the LASIK surgery prior to a Vitrectomy? And can anyone tell me the pros and cons of having a Vitrectomy prior to LASIK surgery?
