Hi Marc, Pedro speaking,

First, thanks for your kind words on my other thread. Secondly, regarding shimmering: although it is the last of my worries right now, just to let you know that I too have shimmering, which is also more noticeable in the dark. In my case I am 100% sure that it is the lasering of the retina that I am still seeing. Mostly I see it in my bottom and right (my right eye was operated). Infrequently I also see it on the top edge and more rarely in my left edge. I'm not sure if some of the intensity of what I'm seeing is due to the fact that my pupils now are constantly dilated due to the atropine (Prof. Stalmans told me in the pre-surgery consultation that when the pupils are dilated patients tend to see this more). Anyway, again, in my case I am 100% sure that it is the lasering of the retina. Sim, I think I recall that you had this too and this went away, right? How long did that take?

Marc, I would be very interested to hear Prof. Stalmans' response to you on this issue.

Thanks,

Pedro
