I got a ID card after my cataract surgery , it's a Alcon lens inplant power 17.5 D.with blue light filter, just the plain regular lens, nothing special. The cataract doctor gave me a choice, he said he could put in a lens that would be clear in the distance, and would need glasses to read or match my other eye in blurry power and would wear glasses as I have worn my whole life, I never had contact lenses. We both agreed that since it may be years before I need cateract surgery in my good eye (left eye) he used the lenses that matched the left eye, so both look about the same to me with my glasses off. Now it's like it was before the cataract. I wear progressive lenses glasses, giving me a clear 20 20 view close and for the distance in both eyes. Yes, since I do have a small cataract in my left eye, my right eye is slightly brighter and clearer then my natural lens left eye, but I can live with it, because both are great in vision, I do get a slightly different glare in the lens eye.I didn't ask Dr. Eaton what tools he used in the FOV operation, I just put my faith in him.
