loulou, sorry, I don't know if I don't understood your post.
This researches will introduce an enzyme with a canule in your vitreous that will dissolve the entire vitreous including the vitreous attached to the retina. Then the same canule will aspire the vitreous... so you won't have anything of the vitreous.

This solution is less agressive with eye, and more effective, because in FOV not all the vitreous is removed, as the more near to the lens or the retina, so after FOV you could see new floaters or the edge of the vitreous...

So, yes, the solution is all farmachological, "enzyme-in vitreous-out" ;-)
