Hi,
My floater is definitely the same one appearing and disappearing especially the prominent one in the top right corner although at times, it slightly change shape (from a dot to a blurred dot with strings attached around it and back again). I believe that they coagulate and can dissolve by factors still unknown to us. My guess is stress levels (i.e, blood pressure) and diet have a lot to do with it, which is why in my case they have managed to be completely invisible (dissolve?) throughout 2007.
As for my father, he claims that his floaters are gone, or at least they have dissolved to a point where he could not see them even if he try to. He is 62 years old, doesn't wear glasses, reads just fine and drives his car every day. I'm sure that if the floaters are there, he would have easily spot them while driving because we live in a very sunny city. What is important is that his floaters are invisible to him (if not completely gone), which is why I envy him. I should point out that he doesn't smoke, drink alcohol, coffee nor tea and have long excluded sugar in his diet.
My mother has suggested that I eat raw Mini Aubergines, or "Cempoka" in my native language, which supposedly would improve my eye health. My father eats them regularly but not my mother, presumable because they're too damn bitter and she has learned to live with her floaters ("oh well, it comes with age"). They are small green fruit which taste like hell (absolutely strong bitter stuff). I'm not sure if it's translated as "Mini Aubergines" in English, so here's a picture I found on the net:
I'm not guaranteeing anything as I'm just beginning to eat these stuff today and will try to continue eating them regularly. I will keep all of you who are interested updated.
To mickozee: Care to share how did your situation improve?
