rancol you are right about approaching with healthy skepticism laser treatment, vitrectomy, hypnosis, acupuncture, black cohosh tea or any other putative treatment option proposed for floaters. Of course I am going to promote my practice... why wouldn't I? When I started doing laser treatment for floaters, I took what I know about the eye, my experience with the YAG laser, and the experience described in Dr. K's text and articles. I looked into some of the sparsely available journal articles as well .Mostly I started on an act of faith. Early on I waivered back and forth and at times wondered if I had doner the right thing. As I became more skilled I became a real believer that there is a place for the YAG laser in treating floaters. Not everyone is a candidate, bot those that are willing to sit through a couple of sessions or more can get very satisfying results.

If you go through my web site, I try to present an articulate, educational, well-reasoned argument for using the laser. I have just started uploading patient interviews and will be uploading digital video as well this month. It not enough for me to make claims - you and many others have reason to be suspicious. These interviews are unscripted conversations, not infomercials. I think it is powerful to see and listen to real people who have suffered like yourself and gotten results.
Regards to you all.
