Mickozee, just yesterday I talked with a member of my family that is medicine doctor, and "tried" to exchange ideas with him about the "silicon theory". Bad idea. ;-)
I don't know what happens with doctors, I think with the years they see so many people that they surrender to make other thing than the written in their vademecum.

This member of my family still answer about the floaters with the "i also have", and don't show at least a little of empathy when you say him "you have 1 or 2, I have 15 or 20, and there are people desperated because they ave even more and bigger". In my profession I respect the ideas and opinions of every people, although they don't have idea of what they talk, because they know what happens but they don't know how to explain it. And because "no day you go to sleep without learning something new". Why a doctor can't say "you are not a doctor, but you have a brain and your ideas, although not very well explained could have some sense".

The worst, perhaps it's that the "doctors" don't reply your arguments with medical arguments like "no, there are researchs that say that the silicum is not important for this... bla bla bla..", they always answer you laughing with examples of the most ridiculous patients they have ever had "I had a patient that asked me for a mercury blood analysis, because they have read in internet that the teeth filling with time deteriorates..." (This is the example my family member used with me, although I don't see this example to be as ridiculous as he thought to be, but well, don't fight with a doctor in your family...).

The most ridiculous is that a normal generic doctor, when you talk him/her about articles of the most expert oftalmologists in the world, has not the the minimal respect to hear you and "learn something new". Why not? hehe, don't ask them that.

At least I learned (if he is not wrong) that you can ask for mineral blood analysis (not only hair analysis) to your habitual doctor, for example, in the risk of overexposure.
So next week I'll tell my habitual doctor I confused a silicium big piece with a banana and I eated the silicium, so I would like to know my levels of silicium in blood, please. :-)
