MrFloater: I do not think we are talking about the same thing. Let me try to explain you with picture and video I found fast.

- Imagine a lot of dot like that one

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ33U-W0JBE
- Go at 50 seconds of this video, you see how the white dot is coming in our direction?
Well imagine a lot more white dot (that really fill your vision at a concentrated place) and coming way faster. That is what I see.

That is what I call a "space[ship] effect" (or maybe it is asteroid) ... well that kind of view is used in some video games when a spaceship travel with front view... you see a lot of white dot coming to you like in the video.

Maybe it is similar, but I just was not sure from your description. Do you think you understand what I describe now? If not, feel free to ask more question. I really don't mind question when it is to make thing clear.

This is not happening often and is maybe normal, who know (like floaters are also somehow normal). But I never noticed that kind of effect in the past (or I forgot). If I find a better video, I will use it as reference.

Now about the transparent dot or not, it remind me an effect I see often (and there is a thread people talk about similar thing here that I have yet to reply one day). When I look at sky (or even LCD or sometime even non-white surface! so non-limited to sky), I see a lot of thing appear and disappear. They are not slow like the floaters that bother me usually, and I cannot fix on them (that is why I say appear and disappear). Sometime looks like small flash dot and there is other that look like "swirl" and it kind-of distort vision a little when they appear and also when you see hundred of these appearing and disappearing, it is hard for the concentration and to appreciate a view. It is easier for me to see that effect in the sky. They are maybe floaters... but they don't play the same way as the floaters I can clearly draw on a paper. This kind of effect play a role to disturb me a lot and it appeared around the same time I got my "annoying floaters" (actually this kind of effect appeared before I believe [but I was not sure it was a problem even thought I was describing the effect], but it is harder to describe, I would have to think harder to describe it really well, because with words, we can all interpret it a different way... or I would have to do a kind of video one day... that will really help to describe what I see...). Well you will for sure heard back about me about this effect, because that is one that affect me a lot and I don't know if they are floaters or related to floaters (but for sure related to my eye problems that came with floaters).
