Dr. Johnson, thanks for the answer. It answer my question. I guess "every" is sure to get a NO. ;-) Or if it is a YES, the long term effect is maybe not something we want to gamble too much with. So you will rather want to limit the session for at least this reason and then see if that give real improvement.
I personally have a couple of floaters (surprise!) and among them some very well defined, I can draw them, etc. Not necessary a big oil spot (only one is more like a dark circle with couple line stick around it), but they does appear big OR are omnipresent in my central visual axis a lot of the time per day. While I know you cannot answer without seeing them, I wonder if you had patient that had some "annoying floaters" (e.g. 1 to 10, not large floater or weiss ring) and you were able to see them and zap (or even move) them to the point the patient could say "they are not there anymore". I imagine yes, but I want to know if there is real hope (even if that is no guarantee!)
I also wonder if you guys can see exactly what the floaters looks like for the patient. If he draw his floaters, let's say a "C" shape, then you see that "C" shape and recognize it. I don't know if it works like this... but if you are able to do a pattern matching with what the patient see, that would probably be very useful to know where to concentrate! But maybe I am hoping too much and what you see is more abstract or is very different from what the patient see for some reason?
My personal strategy is to wait as some people reported that their floaters disappeared (have they really disappeared or just moved, I don't know, but considering they are harmless what I want is to not see them!) and then if no improvement after years I guess, I will probably consider more seriously something like Laser. But I like to know my option and make an educated choice! ;-) Especially for these kind of surgery.
It is sad how things can go OK and then stuff like that appear and ruin a big part of your life on a daily basis. And I can imagine how it is for people that is way worse than me. :-|
