It is my understanding that myopic people have a greater incidence of floaters but that correcting the underlying myopia (with corrective lenses, contact lenses, or laser surgery) has absolutely no effect on floater severity. Remember, floaters are caused by pieces of debris in the vitreous humor inside the eyeball. They cast shadows on the retina, which we perceive as floaters. Floaters are independent of the focusing process of light from the external world being focused on the retina.
