Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. From what I've read my floaters aren't extremely severe, however they are bad enough to interfere with my life. The psychological cost has been the worst, perhaps because I'm among the younger floater sufferers. My first question for the community: My worst floater seems somewhat unlike the common experience. In daylight I can see it more clearly; it is yellow in color with bits of red surrounded by a fine black border and a long, fine black tail. In excellent conditions I can see other bits of clear wormlike floaters (collagen?). It is about 80% opaque and persists in all light conditions. In lower light it appears black and blurry. The size varies based on the distance I'm looking, but is roughly three inches in diameter when I look at a white wall six feet away. This one worries me, not only because it is my worst, but because of the color and appearance. I'm worried it could be some kind of parasite, protein or other nasty evildoer. Does anyone else have experience with floaters that appear colored, other than black? My retinal specialist said it was normal, but was largely disinterested in my condition (per the common experience on these forums!) Thank you everyone.
