John,
Glad things are seemingly well. You've just made me think even harder. Not a day goes by that I don't get bothered by these pesky things. Few questions as I havent seen your posts before:

1. How bad were your floaters
2. Did you have a PVD or did the surgeon induce PVD?
3. Sutures or sutureless?
4. Where did you get the operation?
5. How old are you?

Many thanks and good luck!

Jenks.
Hello Jenks,

First of all, I would like to say for anyone who is reading this, never make a decision just based on some random guy from the internet. The final decision should always come from your personal situation. Do you feel bothered enough? Willing to accept the minimal but serious risks? All things should be covered and discussed with your family.

Now to answer your questions.

1. How bad were your floaters

Bad. Majority of my left eye was filled with hundreds and hundreds of little floaters. I had to drop out of college because trying to move the floaters out of the way to get a second or 2 to read a few words just took to kong to read all the material in classes. Got to the point I just stopped reading material and just took notes and hopped for the best on Tests.

My AVG. GPA per semester was ~3.7, my last semester I have a 2.0, Barely.

2. Did you have a PVD or did the surgeon induce PVD?

PVD was induced during surgery.

3. Sutures or sutureless?

sutureless

4. Where did you get the operation?

Randall Wong in Fairfax, Virginia.

5. How old are you?

24 years young. First got floaters when I was 22. They became unbearable a few months before I turned 23.

When I first saw them I thought a spider burrowed into my eyeball and laid eggs. smiley: frown

I'm going to go watch Puss in Boots. and Enjoy it!
