Hi Creator,

I've had my floaters for about 8 months, and it's not getting any easier to live with them.  I'm thinking I will stay in town and have surgery done by a surgeon who is willing to help me out.  Of all the surgeons I've interviewed, I feel most comfortable with him.  He has been extremely patient to answer all of my questions, doesn't rush through my appointments, has taken 3-D OCT and ultrasound scans of my eyes, and says he takes his time during surgery.  He operates in a specialized operating room for retina surgery that's in a hospital here that's always rated in the Top 100 hospitals in the country.  The hospital also always ranks highly in the best places to work polls in my metro area.

There are 9 surgeons in this surgeon's practice, and someone is on call 24 hours a day.  If I were to have any complications post surgery, I think I would be in good hands.  I am a little spooked by the pvd induction though (he is the only surgeon I've seen that thinks I don't have a complete pvd), but I think I will go through with the surgery anyway.  He is also going to find some of his patients that he's operated on for floaters and ask their permission for me to call them.Once I talk with them, I'm going to schedule the operation.  He operates on Wednesdays, so I'm looking at Dec. 14 or Dec. 21.
