art,

Thanks for the reply.

stringyeye,
Your eye doctor sounds like my local eye doctor in terms of patience to answer the questions and he also said to me he prefer to take his time and he is not impressed by doctors that makes it in 10 minutes, etc. The difference starts with the post-op where I can't seem to be able to get the line of the external clinic of the hospital where he operates since they always put me on hold forever :/. Doctors here are overworked so I will try to find out about post-op support here when I see him next or by calling his office again. Also, it's a 6 months wait here which depresses me.

Take care.

P.S. Finally got the line today and the post-op answers were comforting. monday through friday 7h30am to 4h30pm emergency for the eyes only (specific emergency section for ophtalmology) where I am usually seen in 3-4 hours depending on the emergency and other people's emergencies that day and week-end on general emergency of the hospital but with usual mechanism to order when people will get seen depending on the emergency reason. 7 retina specialist operating there and always 1 on guard for emergencies.
