The reason is that they don't have any reason since they are told that floaters are beningn and everyone as the vision blocked by them so by their standards seeing well is not seeing well with floaters which is a pure nonsense and that's why more doctors are braking with this dogma and getting willing to help people. Also these doctors tend to see vitrectomy as a dangerous thing when its technique wasn't safe enough. Now that it's more safe then more doctors want to help. And of course as it's a surgery it has some risks of cataracts and retinal detachment and hypotony although they are very rare to happen and doctors think that cataracts are serious and floaters aren't. So that's their only reason, the fear of RD and cataract and the dogma of floaters being something considered "normal". Only time and raising awareness can help changing their minds. :)
