Only a succesful PVD induced vitrectomy can get completly rid of all the floaters forever (apart from having anterior vitreous problems). Also I believe the 23gauge technique is most accurate to work with in the hands of a skilled surgeon and leaves little chance for residual floaters.

A core FOV might remove bothersome floaters but has a big chance to develop new floaters in the future due to degeneration.

Therefor I would always advice to have PVD induced. You really want to go through this only once ;)
