I forgot to mention that the fourth surgeon doesn't really make much of having a partial PVD, probably because even if that's the situation, he still has to detach some part of the cortical vitreous from the retina anyway. He's more like, either you have a complete one or you don't.  Personally, I think based on what I saw on the 2D OCT, that a good portion of my posterior vitreous is detached.  There was basically a white V in the image and the point of the V looked attached to the retina while the rest didn't.  But my surgeon isn't putting much stock into my hopeful self diagnosis!  He says possibly it could be slightly lifted, but I think he's depending more on the 3D OCT for his diagnosis.
