The only difference is the risks are lower if you have had a PVD. But, if your set on FOV anyway, it really shouldn't be a factor that affects your decision.

Exactly, but I was hoping I'd be in the lower-risk category with pre-existing PVD.  If the 3D OCT had shown a PVD, I would've felt much better going into surgery, but I am going anyway.
