Hi everyone,

It's been a week since my surgery, and I'm sorry to say that I feel like I've traded one problem for another at this point.  I have 4-5 specks like fleas or pieces of pepper and a couple of larger strands and clumps of post-op debris that are darker and more opaque than the collagen floaters that were removed.  The debris is free floating, where the collagen floaters were connected in a web that moved in a predictable pattern.  I would say the volume of floaters is much less and I'm able to get the debris out of my central vision if I work at it, but it moves very quickly in my peripheral vision and I feel like it is sort of in a strange orbital flow.

The surgeon says the debris are inflammation floaters and they should go away in time.  He gave me a very strong steroid drop called Durazol to try and see if it helps clear the floaters.  He said it should actually penetrate the eye and get into the aqueous fluid.

I am now off the dilation drops, and I fear that I will only see more debris as my eye regains the ability to focus. I still have the air bubble in my eye, and it sits very low and out of my central vision.

I'd appreciate hearing from you if you've had any of the symptoms I'm experiencing to let me know if they eventually went away and when.

Thanks so much,

Stringyeye
