Well I do spend a lot of time looking at the computer, at least 9 hours a day. But I am also 49, probably getting ready to go into menopause and myopic (-2.25 and -2.75). Also, I started taking synthroid for hypothyroidism about the same time my floaters appeared. My floaters could have been brought on by hormonal and metabolic changes or just as part of the normal aging process, who knows? The human body is so complex that it is hard to pinpoint causes for anything and doctors obviously don't have much of a clue about what causes vitreous syneresis. When it is so premature as it is for so many of you young guys, I would think it has to be chemically induced or mechanically induced (trauma or LASIK) if you don't have any other eye or health issues.
