No tone intended, I just think the precautions listed were border line paranoid. Posts like that just make everyone worried. I do however totally understand the need to give yourself peace of mind. I had my own little routine, but that was really just some extra care and attention to being clean and staying away from sick people. I'm just saying people have enough to worry about with this procedure without bein riled up about MRSA.

When I went through the process I had the advice of the surgeon, the hospital, and half a dozen nurses to lean on. They do the procedure all the time. I truly believe in such a situation you will be informed of everything you need to do, all appropriate tests and precautions will be made, and they will check and double check to make sure you have done what you are meant to do.

As a result of some posts on here I needlessly emailed my surgeon on a few occassions, and even he asked where I was getting my information.
