lots of people who have had fov get these circles after the op. I'd say looking at historic posts, perhaps about 40-50% of people. Most go in time, but some stay. Dawn, when I talked about target cells, I meant normally clear round bubble cells with a dot in the middle. Is this similar to what you see? I think sometimes these cells join together or overlap or clump together to form a really dark black bothersome floater. This normally unclumps after a few hours or a day, but can be a pain. I think these bubbles or target like floaters are inflammation cells. Rancol, Scom, and many others had these and confirm they take a while to fade or disappear. THe good thing is that over the coming weeks or months, I'm sure that Dawn will see improvement. Once again, I'm really thrilled for Alexo and Cephei, who have to date experienced no post op debris, but think that in the majority of cases, an eye post fov is a lot better, but not 100%. I think people who are having the op, need to be prepared for a less than perfect result, at least in the short to medium term. IF you go in with the hell bent desire to take your patch off 24 hours post op and see crystal clear vision, then you may be setting yourself up for major disappointment. I say "may" as Alexo and Cephei have experienced that result, but many others see inflammation cells, blood, residual floaters, visual distortions, reduced vision, e.t.c. This is not a guarenteed operation, and whilst the Surgeon does make a difference, I think there is an aspect of luck as well. This would be supported by people who have a fov on 1 eye that is perfect, and repeat the procedure in the same fashion with the same surgeon and have a less satisfactory outcome the second time.
Regards
Dave
