Very nice and uplifting story, I'm glad you came back to share it with us. Good closing point too, just because your final vision isn't 100% perfect, look at it relativistically and realistically. Although Im sure you've posted it somewhere already, do you mind telling us the details of your operation like gauge and PVD or lack thereof and of the degree of astigmatism you have? Also you're saying you underwent the dual operation at 19 because you had cataracts already developing at the time correct, I can't imagine anyone would do it simply preventatively?

Although I have no medical experience with AcrySof Toric, I have heard good things regarding their ability to correct astigmatism to a normal prescription level, but I have also heard they do not always allow the same degree of acuity as glasses could. How is your vision with your current IOLs? Is your vision negatively impacted by your physical lack of accommodation from the lens removal or did already having to wear glasses make the difference negligible?
