Sorry I dont have any information on the gauge , i would guess it to be at the lower end to avoid suturing yandikha , but unsure, regarding the residual frill it was pretty much there from day one and i had a large clump of " dark matter " like a big tumbleweed, it wasn't a blood floater as i know the difference now and they quickly break up and disperse, this gradually grew larger and opaque but was visible in bright light when it drifted past , and too large to be filtered out and so was always lurking about , between that and the constant activity in my peripheral vision it was quite hard to ignore, i gave it over a year

I had a second procedure or further vitrectomy combined with a lens exchange, i had a multifocal in that eye that was problematic, i now have a monofocal in the sulcus in that eye and both the mother ship floater and the frill are gone, a second procedure is much quicker and no air bubble, very happy with the outcome
