Conrats on the great recovery so far!

I had my left eye done three years ago, I think it was 4-6 weeks for the sclera to return to its white colour, though the scars remain (only noticeable if you're looking for them).

The left eye had a gas bubble that took 14-16 days to go; I had my right eye done 3 weeks ago- this time only an air bubble was needed but it still took 12 days.

Because I've got a lattice retina I needed prophylactic laser to reduce the risk of an RD. Because the nerve that controls pupil contraction sits behind the retina, thr laser damaged it. For my left eye it took 6 months before fully regaining focus. The same thing seems to be happening with my right eye but to a much lesser degree. If you didn't need a laser, you might have to wait up to two weeks after finishing pupil dilating drops.

Hope this helps and best wishes for a full recovery! As a seasoned vitrectomer(!) if I could give anyone one piece of advice it would be: patience. As hard as it is, try not to judge recovery on a daily basis. I was impatient for my first op, being adamant my pupil wouldn't recover and the debris wouldn't go, but it's brilliant now!
