Hi Kram,

I have a very similar situation as you. Initially I had a frill in the shape of a black arc in my peripheral vision. After my final surgery with Dr. Kwok, the black arc disappeared, but I have a quivering dark blob in my peripheral vision instead. More than a year has passed since my last FOV, and it hasn't gotten much better. However, most doctors think it is the cataract. Dr. Kwok, Dr. Koch, and my local doctor think it's the cataract, since they can trace the shadow cast by my cataract to nearly the precise location where I see the blob. Dr. Koch, actually, thinks it's a bubble in my crystalline lense, which is similar to a cataract, but not exactly a cataract. The only doctor who thinks that it is a vitreous condensate is Dr. Mura. However, even he says that he thinks that it is in the anterior vitreous, and I would need to do a cataract surgery anyway before or during the next FOV.

So my plan is the following--wait until the Fluidvision IOL is available in Germany (probably late 2015, early 2016), do a cataract surgery. And if that doesn't solve the problem, do another FOV with Dr. Mura. I really hope though that my problem is caused by the cataract, so that I won't need another FOV.
