Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear about your eye complications. I know how annoying a black dot in the center of you vision can be.

Many here have had similar problems and I'm sure you will find a lot of info on the forums. It's been 4 months since your concussion and has the dot changed position or faded at all? Is your other eye floater free?

There is only one way to get rid of floaters in my opinion and that's vitrectomy. Unfortunately I doubt you will find a Dr willing to do this operation on a healthy eye, especially for just one black dot. I know it can be like a laser pointer in your eye and can be very distracting. Especially while reading or driving but unless your quality of life has taken a beating, you may have to learn to live with it or hope that it fades or falls out of your center field of vision.
Vitrectomy isn't 100% perfect and postop you can be left with frill, or still have a few floaters left. In some cases people become floater free, but do not expect it.

I myself had vitrectomy done about 8 months ago and I'm still left with a bit of debris. It's much better than before, but like I said... it wasn't perfect.

Take care.

Just then a tiny little dot caught my eye.
It was just about too small to see.
But I watched it way too long.
That dot was pulling me down.
