Henrys Afro - the same exact thing happened to me. I was sucker punched over and over in the facial area. I suffered a depressed cheekbone and now have a large black floater in my central vision. I have had it for about a year in a half. It hasn't gotten any better, and prevents me from reading, focusing, or using a computer effectively. I have to strain to see around it, which causes facial pain and stress. It is extremely depressing. The worst part about this is the "what if" thoughts that dominate my mind every day. I think "what if I had turned my head slightly so I could've seen the punch coming." Or "what if I hadn't been in the wrong place at the wrong time." I haven't had one misery free day for the past year and a half. Before the punches, I had no idea that such a torturous condition existed.

It is just a shame how no doctor seems to understand or care about this condition. It's simply something that no one can understand unless they're suffering from it. There simply has to be something that can be done other than a vitrectomy. One of the only things that keeps me going is the hope that a technology will be found to cure this some day. This motivates me to work as hard as possible so that I can donate money to research this problem and hopefully find a cure. Life was not meant to be lived this way
