Hi all!

I have some news, which may be interesting for you. I am visiting an eye doc here in Poland. She is a laser specialist. She has worked in the "Laser Dept." for 10 years and told me something like this: "According to the theory the higher myopia you develop the higher is the risk of having a retinal tear/detachment, but in practice it's not a sure thing! My professional experience allows me to say, that the group of people, which has the most problems with their retinas is the mid group with myopia on the level between -4 and -6."

This is an opinion of a specialist my dears. My opinion is also an additional thing. I have had a refraction disfunction from the day I was bron. First five years it was +, then it went to -, when I was at the age of 5. Now I have almost -9, but never had problems with the retina. I underwent several times an eye check during last motnhs. Everything was superb, except the floaters of course, but this wasn't considered as a problem, as you can imagine.

So, let's wait and see what happens in life:)
