Hi Kala,

Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply from Dr Chang (especially if your letter is by email). He is quite possibly the busiest doctor in Australia. I suggest a phone call might be a good move.

I did speak to one of Dr Chang's patients before having my surgery. I think the guy was in his early forties and he had had FOVs in both eyes. He was very happy with the result. I don't know if he had a PVD or not and I'm not sure I could contact him now. It might be of interest to you to know however that after my surgery I asked Andrew if his job had been made easier by my PVD. He said it was no big deal and that had I not had it he would (simply) have induced it. It appeared to me that it was of little consequence to him. Anyway, he would certainly want to see you before doing any surgery and he would discuss that matter with you then. It would probably be a good idea for your ophthalmologist to write you a referral letter explaining your situation doctor to doctor. I imagine that would likely be something Dr Chang might ask you to do anyway. Best of luck. ........Don
