Hi - I have the same thing - as you will see from my posts. Others have also experienced this shimmering / lapping wave / smudgy area in the periphary of vision after FOV. It can be as you have said some existing very tight vitreous adhered to the retina which was not removed - and with good reason (not to tear retina and create macular pucker etc..), or as in my case, often vitreous around the lens in not removed for safety reasons and to stop immediate cataract formation. This can loosen in the new aqueous fluid and appear in the visual field.

To be honest it bothers me a lot, especially in daylight when I wear raybans constantly - BUT - do not act rashly - I, and others, had this previously in my first operated eye and after 12-18 months it had faded to the point I was almost unable to see it! I too will give it this period of time now - as the aqueuous fluid can break down this vitreous, particuarly if it is flapping in it constantly. If it doesnt, then I may seek a further FOV if it is safe. However, I never lose fact of it that I am now 80% better off than when I had floaters before - this is peripheral to right of my vision and not in centre anymore - thanks to go for that!
