Hi everyone in this big floater community. The more I read about floaters and related connective tissue disorders, I think that floaters and premature posterior vitreous detachments may be caused by mutated or somehow deffected collagen fibrills, specially collagen types II and IX as well as hyluronic acid loss. Therefore, it can be connected to genetic predisposition combined with one's body various reaction to free radicals. If so, there is nothing to do about it until genetic engineering comes up with something new or vitrectomy surgery techniques improves.
