I have just seen some posts on the alternative treatment site which confirms one thing I have hypothesised for years!!!
THAT is a linkbetween production of / worsening of floaters and that of sinus pressure (sinusitis/rhinitis).
My floaters came on in both eye ate the age of 20 - after having two years of immense sinus pressure and pains (resulting in a sinus washout and turbinectomy operation). Over the years when having flaoters - whenerver my nose was irritated/blocked for several days I found that my floaters sped up. Now I've had the FOVs and only have tyhe shimmering/whirlpool effects (se other posts) I find that these also increase in viscosity and movement (i.e. flicker/shimmer with greater regularity) when my nasal passages are blocked (swollen with sinusitis and rhinitis). Likewise if I use / used a spray like otravine (decongestant) which opens up the nasal passages then the floaters (now the shimmering) goes beserk!
Food for thought for everyone, and I wonder if others experience the same thing - other thing make/ made mine speed up too like large volumes of drinking water!
Keep on keeping on
