I have seen increased floaters and flashes lately, and visited an eye doc several times for the fear of retinal detachment. He told me that my eyes were fine. I asked him to to check my floaters for the likelihood of laser treatment of them. He thought I was thinking of lasik and examined my eyes in a rough way, and said he didn't see my floaters, and encouraged me to have the lasik surgery without warning the risk of floaters and dry eyes which I have already had. It's even common sense that if I still have flashes, it means my vitreous body is still pulling the retina, and I am at high risk of retinal detachment or tear. I am very disappointed that he had no concerns about my health and was so enthusastic about the lasik which can help him make profits. This is a big problem that major drug companies and doctors have: they always highlight the benefits and use a minimal voice to warn about possible harms which could be devestating.
