I know the original poster posted this years ago but I had PRK done in the middle of May '08 and into June '08 and before hand I searched for any
feedback I could. It was really the best thing I have ever done. I was not a candidate for Lasik because my corneas were too thin. I had my left eye done
first on a Friday and it was picky until about Monday morning. It felt like there was something constantly in my eye so I just slept most of the time because
it felt better with it closed. There was improvement with my vision but it was still a little blurry. When the contact was removed on Tuesday it wasn't
great but continued to get better as the days went on. I went back to work on Wednesday (I'm a dental hygienist) and only relied on the eye that was
done. Then a few weeks later (I could have gone earlier but my schedule didn't allow it) I had the right eye done. This eye was more painful than picky.
I relied on ibuprofen most of the time, ice on my eyes made it feel better and the drops they give you. I was in my sister's wedding the following week
with no problem and seeing A-ok. I am now better than 20/20.. I was actually reading the teeny tiny lines on the eye chart. It takes some patience with PRK
but within a few days I was good to go. No floaters but it's only been a few months. My eye doctor also told me that if you go to an eye doctor that
didn't know you had eye surgery they wouldn't detect the PRK because it heals quickly where the LASIK can take years for the flap to heal.
