I had Lasik surgery in February 1997 (Male, age 34, high myopia, in the minus 9 and minus 11 range). I developed a monster floater on my left eye about 2 1/2 years later. This floater is in my line of vision and does not move easily with eye movement. At about 3 years after the surgery I noted irksome floaters in my right eye but these quickly move out of the way with any eye movement. During my twice a year checkup, my opthamologists made an off the cuff comment regarding incidences of floater complaints after Lasik surgery especially with high myope patients. Has anybody else heard of this? I'm assuming so since Suzanne created a TOPIC to deal with this. Has anybody seen any medical literature regarding floaters. Does the LASIK industry have any further infor via websites, etc? How about any informative medical websites besides the general "Ask Dr. Lamb" type articles?
Thanks to all and thanks to the webmaster for this great forum.
