Hi buddy, it's interesting to read your posts. I can tell you that I've tried the things you are trying for years, and I'm not here to break dreams or anything I just want to tell my story. It ---> didn't<--- help .. The only way the swimming, milk thistle etc and all I did helped me was it gave me a sense of that I'm at least healthy and feeling good, but since I live in an environment where there is snow almost 80 % of the year (north side of Sweden) it's very easy for me to tell exactly how my floaters have changed over time. As I've mentioned in my previous posts - and I don't mean to take anything away from anyone, but I've met Dr. Fankhauser, he was the first to even create the laser that could blast the floaters, I was recommended to see him by Dr. Scott Geller who we all know (or at least have read about). In his own words "floaters CANNOT be dissolved chemically, that is through special nutrition/food etc, or through any eye drops). Now I still take blueberry-pills and other types vitamins for my eyes, eat carrots etc etc. But I'm probably only preventing further damage to my eyes. It started out with 1 small floater for me when I was 15 and now when I'm 24 I have loads and loads of them, all kinds of shapes, strings etc etc. My only tip is to stay really strong and try to picture how people who suffer from total or partial vision loss bear to live their lives and still struggle. But I'm still looking for a cure - but till this day I unfortunately only believe in two things, that is the lasertreatment (which in my case would only change the pattern of my floaters because they had not yet condensated) or the FOV. But by all means - I'm still here reading and looking to see if someone has tried something new.. Sorry for the long post..

Now you listen to me and you listen good.
Today was different than any other day since I got floaters. Shortly afterwards, upon discovering this forum, I started this here thread. I would not be posting this if I had not checked and re-checked that I really am experiencing what I am experiencing. I do not want to give you any false hopes, as I myself know what it is to hope and then to have nothing again, when it proves to be just a coincidence or temporary or some bullshit liar with interests in lying to us about some product they are trying to sell that monstrously evil and sleazy way.
So don´t get too excited. I am trying to control my own self as to not start hoping too much, because it really hurts being disappointed, doesn´t it.
So be warned.
That being said…
Progress!
I can report progress, my friends.
I experienced pure happiness today, when I confirmed to myself that, for sure, my floaters are somehow more transparent, thus somewhat easier to cope with, at least they were that temporary. It lasted for four-five hours and then slowly I began seeing them as clearly as before again. The difference was not very big while it laste, BUT it was clear that they in fact WERE more transparent and I would even dare to say they appeared to be smaller somehow, thinner. Bothered less then ever.
I´ve noticed it first during my running round today, then afterwards, on the beach, as soon as I hit water and started swimming, I noticed in the clear, blue sea water that, yes, they are not as intensive and clearly present as usually. After swimming for about 20 minutes I was sure. I saw less thick, less clearly defined floaters. I was laying in the sun afterward and felt better than for a loooooong, loooooooong time. I am not an optimist usually, and I am not big on pessimism either. I try to be realist, realistic, neutral. But today I felt some optimism for the first time, in all my despair up to this point. I am sure you too know the kind of despair I am talking about.
The most important part follows now.
I have been spending my whole day today trying to think back and trace what I have been doing differently lately, trying to trace what could have caused betterment I experienced first time ever today.
I have not done the Bioptron 2 therapy yet, so it´s not that. In fact I discovered the place I can have it done at just yesterday.
I don´t think it´s milk thistle + dandelion root pills I am taking, although that too might be starting to work. Somehow I find that hard to believe since I know I need to take them for a longer time than I did until now, as the liver needs 6 months or even more to start really reacting on the regimen I have been holding slavishly. You can read more about it right above, in this thread. The dosages are really quite small too (the seller warns against taking more than prescribed, so I don´t), but it just might be starting to make difference. I am not really sure, how can I be?
BUT... and it is a important but... the milk thistle and dandelion root are IN THE EQUASION as a possible "collaborator" of the next thing I suspect have made the difference I felt today.
It´s... don´t laugh... It´s beans I´ve been eating. Simple, regular, boiled beans made the classic way, just like the cowboys or the military makes them. I´ve been eating them the day before yesterday, yesterday and even for breakfast today. Yes, for breakfast. Why you ask? It was the only thing ready to eat, and I did not have time to make something else the last couple of days, my working schedule is insane lately.
The way I ate them is with Italian pasta made with "durum wheat semolina". I don´t know if the "durum wheat semolina"plays any role in this or not, but I am trying to be as precise as possible. It´s just regular pasta I bought at the local store and this is what it says on the package: Italian pasta made with durum wheat semolina. The proportions were: about 1/3 pasta, 2/3 cooked beans. The beans were prepared with tomato sauce and garlic.
I think it´s the beans. On a scale from 1-10 I have beans at 8. Milk thistle + dandelion root pills alone... about 3. Milk thistle + dandelion root pills IN COMBO with beans and pasta... I´d say 8, as well.
One other thing I did differently today was that, for the first time in a long time, I had two coups of coffee. Since I got the floaters I stopped drinking coffee completely, but as I have not yet noticed any difference because of it, I decided to start drinking coffee again, 1 - 2 coups every second or sometimes rather every third day. Coffee is my only "sin". I don´t smoke, I don´t drink alcohol, I try to eat healthy and exercise regularly. I was really, and I mean really, depressed since I completely knocked coffee out of my life cold turkey style. This is going well with my training regimen which now looks like: training every second day, instead of every day like before. I was really tired when I was doing it every day, so I decided to rest for one day, then exercise twice as much the second day, then rest again for one day... and so on. So now when I exercise I go running first for about 1 hour (actual running = ca 40 minutes), then, instead of calling it a day, I go for a swimming round as well, for about 1-2 hours (actual swimming = 20 minutes, then rest, then 20 more minutes, then rest, then go home). It´s a marvelous feeling after getting really sweaty on a hot Dalmatian day over here, after running, throwing yourself in the warm and clear Adriatic Sea. I see floaters really well under water, it´s like looking at the sky, similar. I wear swimming goggles, of course, not a drop of salt water reaches the eyes at any time. On sunny days (every day is really sunny over here right now) the water under the surface has that same bluish, one-two-tone quality, like the sky, even more so, floater are even more visible with that background.
I have got to run now, I will be online again in three or four days, in case you write something. I will of course continue reporting on developments. Even if all of this is only temporary, it felt great at least for couple of hours and I don´t regret a second of it.
I guess you know what my diet will contain A LOT of in near and far future. There are some… ahem… drawbacks… when eating lots of beans, but there are ways around that. The garlic part does not have to be huge and if you slice it into tiny cubes, then you won´t have that garlic smell around you. Hey, I´ll brush my teeth and bathe 10 days a day and chew menthol chewing gums or mints at all times, if it´s a necessary part in the process of getting rid of these damn floaters. No contest there.
Please excuse the typos and so on in this post, I simply do not have any more time to check for them now, I really got to hit the door right about now and this post is way longer then I have intended.
Can you notice I´ve been drinking coffee again?
Listen, lastly I have an important question:
Has any of you had similar experiences with beans? I remember reading somewhere that someone (several people, if I remember correctly) has noticed less floaters after eating some Mexican dish with lots of beans in it. Where was this, anyone? You know what I am talking about by any chance? Then link us, please. Thanks!
Talk to you soon again.
Good luck.
I´ll be back.
