The Alternative Treatment board is becoming a haven for people looking to sell you things they claim will cure floaters. Don't believe them. If the product is only available from one source then there is a reason for this. To this end posts talking about a specific product or person are not allowed on this board. There are many alternative treatment boards out there with laxer rules and you can talk about these people there if you want. Floater Talk should not be a place where new sufferers are flogged mysterious substances at high prices which are funnily enough only available from one person (who will of course tell you that the product is being suppressed by the medical community or that it does not work in clinical trials for some spurious reason). I know I will receive some complaints about this because of yet another new magical product which this time definitely works but it is a good way to stop this forum just being a giant advert.
Basically the rules can be summarised as follows:
Allowed - 'I am trying a supplement you can get from any store'
Removed - 'I am trying a supplement you can only get from this one website'
Allowed - 'I am finding that massage therapy helps my floaters'
Removed - 'Mr X has told me that he is the only person with the right massage therapy to cure floaters'
Allowed - 'I am trying eye drops which I got in my chemist'
Removed - 'I am putting some strange product I got off some shady looking website into my eye without asking my GP but hopefully it will work'
If you find anyone posting something you feel is just another advertisement please post a link here. People are free to try certain herbs and diets but not to advertise unique products which are not widely available. If by magic you find a specific product that cures your floaters post its ingredients and not the product name.
