So my opthomoligst told me I have PVD.
My surgeon said I did not...then inspected the eye again and said something along the lines of "your too young to have PVD, its just localized." Before I can ask him to explain, he was on to the next patient. I got a hold of his report today and this is what is says:

Dilated funduscopy of the right eye showed a localized posterior vitreous separation, particularly inferiorly, with a small area of vitreous opacity, possibly representing old minor hemorrhage or simply vitreous condensation. Scleral indentation with indirect opthalmoscopy did not reveal any evidence of retinal tears or detachement.
Recommendation: The situation was discussed with the patient. I do not recommend a vitrectomy for his floaters.
What the hell does this mean? Is that a such thing a "localized" PVD?
