I *think* I saw this described once before on this list, but I can't find it...
When I look at the sky, I notice small little squiggly objects racing around my field of vision. It's kind of like when you "see stars" from standing up too fast, except they're not bringht points of light, just semi-transparent squiggles. Plus, they don't go away; they're there whenever I look at the sky.
Do I remember someone describing this as actual white blood cells racing around in the back of your eyes? Or did I invent that?
In any case, I noticed these for the first time while looking out the window of an airplane last year... Maybe in November. This was several months before I noticed my floaters (March or April of this year), so I don't know if they're related.
I've seen 2 opthimologists about my floaters, and I brought the squiggles up each time. The first one just shrugged and said, "Those are the floaters!" I was too off-guard and/or lily-livered to tell him no, these were different.
The second one didn't seem to be impressed or worried about them, and for whatever reason, I didn't push too hard.
Both opthimologists gave my eyes a good going-over and proclaimed them perfectly healthy, no PVD, etc. But I'm just wondering if anyone else has these.
Thanks...
-Dave.
