Hi,
I'm 24, I'm a contact lens user and recently I start suffering from floaters and dry eyes (blepharitis).
I have seen floaters when i was younger but they rarely appeared. Until a month ago after I got back from my family trip, things go dramatically bad.
After a week back from my trip, I constantly felt my eyes were dry, especially on my right eye. When i went to bed at night one day, I started seeing a small green circle light flashing across everytime I rolled my eyes left and right quickly. I was so scared at that time as i don't know what is actually going wrong. I also hear some tiny sound probably produced by friction from my dry eyelids etc.
The following days I've seen a lot of floaters. I did go to visit optometrist to have my eyes tested. In fact, I have been to 3 different optometrist in 2 weeks time. I live in London and I've visited Specsavers, and the A&E hospital. All those optometrists told me my eyes are normal and didn't see any floaters, PVD or retinal tear. However, one optometrist told me my right eye is abnormally dry and gave me a leaflet all about Blepharitis.
It seems like my Blepharitis condition is getting better following the eyelid cleaning routine. However, and of course, my floaters still appear across my field of vision and it is very annoying when I was at work in the office especially facing the white documents and computer screen. Literally everytime when they appear I feel feared. I just can't get rid of them..... I'm pretty sure those floaters are the small crystal worm floaters around the premacular bursa region of my eyes, as someone on this forum has mentioned it.
Just wondering if any of you guys come into conclusion if Blepharitis is linked to the appearance of crystal worm floaters?
Many thanks,
Ivan
