Hi,
Recently I've asked a Retina Surgeon about peripheral vitreous cutting during vitrectomy, He said Retina Surgeons do peripheral vitreous shaving during vitrectomy for Retinal Deatchments cases, However for vitrectomy for other cases such as FOVs most surgeons tend not to enter peripheral vitreous very much and normally they don't do peripheral vitreous shaving ( due to risk of touching lens and creating cataract).
Does anyone have information about this issue and know other Retina surgeon's opinion about peripheral vitreous shaving?
Can not doing peripheral vitreous shaving cause problems after FOV especially Frill?
Thanks
