Hello everyone, I'm glad to be able to communicate with others who understand the debilitating effects of these annoying evil floaters. Anyways, my name is Dan, I'm 28 years old, and I've had floaters for about 3 months now, 6 or so in each eye. Most of them don't bother me at the moment (although I fear that these less annoying ones may worsen with time), however, one large, fairly dark, centrally-positioned floater in my right eye absolutely drives me nuts. It's so depressing being unable to read in a state of peace! I still read every day in an attempt to adjust, but it's starting to feel so hopeless. My brain just will not stop noticing these things. Moreover, it's so sad not being able to gaze outside and enjoy nature without being plagued by these terrible things.
Well, if anyone has any updates on floater research, or simply has anything comforting to say, I'd be grateful to hear it. Moreover, we should unite to step up the effort to promote our cause...picketing sessions in front of eye research centers?...or...we could all dress up as floaters and follow people around just so they understand the effects of these things.....lol..I'm half kidding, but seriously, I definitely believe that if we could make ourselves more visible, many more sufferers would join our cause and we will have the influence to change the general attitude that opthamologists have with regard to floaters. Much love everyone!
P.S....It's messed up that "experts' tell us this is harmless....in my opinion, it's almost as bad as saying that rape is harmless.
