Hi all,
I have what you all would most likely consider a 'newbie' floater question. I am pretty young (newly 27) and have floaters. I've had floaters I believe for a year or two, but all of mine are far out of my line of sight. I would say I have to go 'looking' for them to find them.... Move my eyes side to side real fast, or look up at a blue sky. However in the last month or two I've developed a black somewhat decent size dot floater almost directly in my line of sight with my right eye. Since it looks like most of you contributors have de-bunked the myths handed around by most doctors I wanted to get your honest take on this.
Having a solid black dot floater in my right eyes line of sight has caused me to no longer be able to 'avoid' looking at my floaters. This floater appears against all color backgrounds night and day and not just light backgrounds and blue sky. Have any of you experienced these that 'settle themselves' lower in your line of sight? Or should I stop holding my breathe and start learning to cope with this as I'll probably have more of this type appear over the years. I guess its bothersome since I work in an environment that uses 'all natural' lighting, and solid white desks. A nightmare for someone with a floater directly in their line of sight :). The only time I lose sight of this one is when I go to bed at night and turn off all lights.
Thanks for your input, and sorry if this was a very newbie question.
