I am not sure if it is appropriate to post this under "enzymatic" as it is not exactly enzymatic but putting this under "general" section has the info quickly swammed by other posts.
German scientists may have found a biochemical mechanism in reversing cross-linked protein that is the cause for cataract. In layman term, they may have found a way to "dissolve" cataract. Of interest to floaters is that the cause for cataract is quite similar to that of eye floaters which is the degeneration (cross-linking) of protein in the lens and vitreous respectively. If the scientists have found way to reverse cross-linking of protein molecules in lens, it may not be too far fetch that a mechanism also exist for cross-linked vitreous protein to exist.
Please pass this information to the "one clear vision" group for update of info or maybe meaningful link up with the scientists.
