Hi! I am new here as a user, but had previously spent some time looking through different forums before my FOV. First, let me tell you a little about myself. I had suffered from severe floaters for nearly four years. I had tried herbs, acupuncture, diet changes, etc. to alleviate my floaters. At this time surgery seemed like something I would never consider, but after years of finding little joy in things I use to, I decided I needed to look into surgical options. I work as a nurse in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, as well as part time in the OR for a plastic surgeon. Because of that I feel I am pretty well versed on the complications that can arise from surgery. I decided if I were to consider surgery, I would only allow the best of the best to operate on my eye. After reading many of his publications and looking at his credentials I decided that Dr. Sebag would be the right doctor to do the surgery. I had my surgery two weeks ago, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared, like really really scared. But I'm sitting here writing this and my vision is clear, something I didn't even know was a possibility!! The day after my surgery we went to the beach and I cried tears of joy as I looked up into the sky and didn't see a single floater!! If you are here researching forums, or staying in low lit rooms and avoiding the sun light, I urge you to consider surgery as an options. You aren't guaranteed tomorrow or even next week for that matter, you should be able to enjoy the life you are living now. I'm here to tell you that there is a safe option to CURE your floaters and Dr. Sebag is the guy to do it! I hope each and every one of you reading this finds your own path to peace, wether that be surgery or not. If you can learn to deal with your floaters, I commend you for that. I tried for four years with no such luck. If you are teetering on the edge trying to decide to go forward with surgery or not, I hope that this helps guide you with that decision. Best of luck to all of you!
